Description
Oyster Point is at the mouth of Bannow Bay on the Fethard Side looking across to Bannow Island. The area of sand spit across the opening is locally called the ‘Bar’. I have had some fun trips out to the bar while rowing with St Kearns Rowing Club. It’s a place where you have to have your ‘wits’ about you with the strong tides pouring in and out of the bay.
